Trebor Developments and Hillwood acquired this 30-acre Brownfield regeneration opportunity site in 2021, following its demolition in 2014. Terms were agreed with Crown Packaging Manufacturing UK Limited for a 632,000 sq ft build-to-suit manufacturing facility on a freehold basis in Autumn 2021, and Trebor worked closely with Crown to successfully deliver this complex new development on an extremely fast-track programme. The unit is entirely bespoke and provides production and distribution accommodation as well as also including new headquarter offices and a fully automated clad rack system. It is Crown’s largest beverage can manufacturing facility in Europe, providing significant capital investment into Peterborough and hundreds of jobs.
