Trebor Developments LLP Selected for Burnley Knowledge Park
Following a detailed selection process, Burnley Council is delighted to announce that Trebor Developments LLP have been selected as the development partner for the 2 hectare ‘Burnley Knowledge Park’ in Burnley’s Knowledge Quarter.
Trebor Developments, a privately owned partnership, have an excellent track record of delivering quality developments throughout the UK. They will be working with the Council to develop the brownfield Knowledge Park site adjacent to Burnley’s £84 million university and college campus, alongside project partners UCLan, Burnley College and the Homes and Communities Agency.
Trebor Developments are looking to create a high quality business park with a focus on attracting growing advanced engineering, manufacturing and digital industries.
Council Leader, Julie Cooper, said: “I’m delighted we have secured a successful national developer to take forward the Knowledge Park site. They are delivering niche business parks across the UK, including the successful Malvern Hills Science Park, so I’m confident they’ll deliver an attractive business park to attract new businesses to Burnley.
The Knowledge Park will provide a unique offer to advanced manufacturing and digital industries who can tap into the advanced research and development, and the unrivalled manufacturing and robotic technologies from the adjacent Knowledge Quarter education campus.”
Burnley Council’s Chief Executive, Steve Rumbelow, said: “The vision is to make Burnley a regionally significant centre for advanced manufacturing, to achieve this it is important we create modern business environments in which these businesses can thrive and we are confident Trebor Developments will create the right environment to attract growing businesses from advanced engineering and digital industries.
