Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner, for Trebor commented “Working with our partners at Burnley Borough Council we have concluded the site master plan and obtained detailed planning consent in less than 12 months of our selection. The site is now ready to deliver, having been prepared and with planning in place. Trebor’s fast track approach to deliver specific premises to occupiers needs will be very attractive. We aim to commence works on the site during 2015”.
Burnley Council leader, Mark Townsend, commented “Vision Park will provide a unique offer to a range of businesses with a focus on advanced manufacturing and digital industries that can connect to the unrivalled manufacturing and robotic technologies in the adjacent education campus, as well as superb centrally located office accommodation.”
“Burnley’s £800m investment in infrastructure, the creation of modern business environments to attract growing businesses, proactive business support environment and the award for Most Enterprising Area in the UK in 2013, saw an occupier take-up of a staggering 970,000 sq ft of new business space in 2014, bucking the national trend in occupier take-up rates”.
“Burnley’s Vision Park will deliver a superb commercial development which will tick all the requirement boxes of new occupiers. Burnley is ranked 8th in the UK for high growth prospects, offers a diverse labour pool, good transport infrastructure, good value and local authority assistance, which has undoubtedly contributed to Burnley’s impressive occupier take-up in 2014, and we are confident Vision Park will be an attractive proposition to further new and existing businesses in 2015.”
